There aren’t many women in the tech world compared to men. Regrello wanted to celebrate the women in the industry by creating a seminar for women to support each other and wanted a logo for merchandise to go along with it. I was required to use the current branding of Regrello and create a new logo set for the Women at Regrello events.

Because I had to use the same branding, I decided to start with the Regrello logo and tweak it just enough to make it its own. I sent over three options to start, which is when I was reminded that femininity is a scale and I had to be cautious of using overly gendered elements.

It was hard for me to adjust from here because of how much I liked the first set of drafts. We landed on a more neutral version of one of the drafts and the women at the event were thrilled to represent women in the tech world.
