When I started to focus more on promoting my work on socials, I wanted to have more branding work to share (after all it is my main job right now!) I’m a plant-lover with about 40 plants around my house… so for practice, I decided to make a branding package for some of my favorites. This series has helped me remember why I chose branding in the first place. Only a few are complete so far, stay tuned for the rest!
Each Branding Package Includes: Logo, 2-3 Logo Variations, A Business Card Mock-Up, Font Pairings, Color Palette, Patterns, and Information about the plant that aided my creative decisions.

Part 1: Zebra Plant

I was able to use a lot of my creativity for these since each package is a company I made up. I started doing a little research on each plant: its native land, its characteristics, and level of expertise to keep it alive, so that I could use the information to help figure out what direction I wanted the designs to go.

With these in mind, I picked each font combo and color palette, then created patterns and other graphic elements that fit the theme.

Part 2: Golden Pothos
Part 3: Lucky Bamboo
After the first few, I noticed it seeming a bit redundant between projects; I was building a brand, but I wasn’t showcasing how the brand could be implemented in real-life scenarios. It wasn’t representative of my creativity. I took a month off to refocus the plan and decided to start letting the plants inspire me to branch out into new industries. After restarting, there is a clear difference in quality between the first three branding packages and the latest few.
Part 4: Gold Lace Cactus
Part 5: Mexican Snowball
Part 6: Umbrella Tree
Part 7: Mother In Law's Tongue
Part 8: Pink Dragon Alocasia
